How to play Pictionary

  1. Split the class into two teams and write a word list on slips of paper.
  2. A player from Team A picks a slip and has 60 seconds to draw it. No letters, numbers or talking.
  3. Team A guesses. A correct guess earns a point.
  4. If Team A fails, Team B gets one guess to steal the point.
  5. Alternate teams and drawers until everyone has had a turn.

Variations

  • Science: draw processes like "photosynthesis" or "erosion".
  • ESL: use action verbs or idioms.

πŸ’‘ Teacher tips

  • Use the classroom timer on the board so everyone can see the countdown.
