How to play Human Knot

  1. Groups stand in a tight circle.
  2. Everyone reaches across and grabs the hand of two different people, not the people next to them.
  3. Without letting go, the group untangles itself into a circle.
  4. Groups can step over, duck under and twist, but must keep holding hands.

Variations

  • Silent version: no talking allowed.

πŸ’‘ Teacher tips

  • Check that every student is comfortable holding hands. Offer a "spotter" role as an alternative.
