How to play Gingerbread Man Hunt

  1. Read The Gingerbread Man aloud, then discover that your paper gingerbread man has "run away".
  2. Find a note he left: "Catch me if you can! I went to see the librarian."
  3. Walk as a class to each place: the library, the office, the nurse, the gym.
  4. At each stop, a staff member hands over the next clue.
  5. End back in the classroom where the gingerbread man (and maybe a cookie for each student) is waiting.

Variations

  • Back to school: use the hunt to introduce students to important places and people in the building.

πŸ’‘ Teacher tips
