How to play Telephone

  1. Have students stand or sit in a line or circle.
  2. Whisper a sentence to the first student.
  3. Each student whispers what they heard to the next person, once only.
  4. The last student says the sentence out loud.
  5. Compare it with the original sentence and discuss what changed.

Variations

  • Two lines race to pass the same sentence most accurately.
  • Use a sentence from today's lesson as a sneaky review.
