How to play Classroom Taboo

  1. Make cards: the target word at the top ("Photosynthesis") and taboo words underneath ("plant, sun, light, energy").
  2. A player from Team A has 60 seconds to get their team to say as many target words as possible.
  3. Saying the target word or any taboo word skips the card.
  4. A student from the other team watches the card and buzzes violations.
  5. Teams alternate; the team with the most correct words wins.

Variations

  • Students make the cards for the next class as a vocabulary activity.
